EXPO 2000: Recovering One Youth at a Time
*Abstract/Description of Event/Activity:
Local City and Government agencies along with treatment centers, people in recovery and other community agencies will join together as a TEAM to celebrate recovery opportunities for youth and adults in the Tucson Area. Highlighted events will include hourly 12 step and alternative meetings, accupuncture, musicians, Judge Leslie Miller from Tucson Drug Court and others just to name a few. This day long event from 10am until 3pm will take place at the Tucson House at 1501 N, Stone and nearby Francisco Esquer Park at 13th and Mabel Street. Transportation will be available to shuttle individuals to and from each event.

Recovering Our Future: One Youth at a Time - An Atlanta Community Forum
*Abstract/Description of Event/Activity:
Panelists with different perspectives will discuss collaborative initiatives to address adolescent substance abuse in the Atlanta area. Audience participation will be encouraged. Topics for discussion will include: treatment alternatives specifically designed for adolescents; bipolar disorders; the role of the private sector in addressing adolescent substance abuse; and collaboration among community organizations involved in this area. The event will take place in the Cyprus Room at the Carter Center, 2300 Freedom Highway.
