Recovery Month Awards
Since 1999, Recovery Month has been recognized as a leader in communications, winning 89 awards, including the Hermes, MarCom, Mercury, Omni, Telly, and Web Health Awards, among others. Awards were received for Recovery Month’s campaign materials, public service announcements, electronic and social media properties, website, as well as the Road to Recovery series.
2013 Telly Award

Recovery Month
won a 2013 Bronze Telly Award for the 2012 PSAs. The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. This year, more than 13,000 entries were submitted from the top ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies, interactive agencies, and corporations worldwide.
2012/2013 Mercury Award

The 2012 Recovery Month campaign received a Bronze Mercury Award for the Campaigns – Non Profit/Government Agency category. The Mercury Awards is an international competition which honors the best in public relations, public affairs, and corporate communications. It celebrates creative professionals whose innovation, originality, and smart-thinking make the industry work.
2013 AVA Awards

The 2012 Recovery Month TV PSAs won a Platinum AVA Award. The AVA Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of media. About 14 percent of the 2,000 entrants won a Platinum award.
2012 Web Health Awards
The 2012 Recovery Month campaign was awarded a Silver Web Health Award for its 2012 Facebook Toolkit Tab in the “Social Media: Facebook” category within the government division. Additionally, Recovery Month won a Bronze Web Health Award for its YouTube Channel in the “Social Media: YouTube” category within the government division.
The Web Health Awards, held twice yearly by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), recognize the nation’s high-quality digital health resources for consumers and health professionals. A panel of 32 experts in digital health media served as judges and awarded gold, silver, bronze and merit winners from nearly 600 entries.
2012 MarCom Awards

The 2011 Recovery Month campaign won three 2012 MarCom Awards: a 2012 Platinum MarCom Award in the Marketing/Promotion Campaign category, a 2012 Gold MarCom Award in the TV PSAs category, and a Honorable Mention in the Radio PSAs category.
The mission of the MarCom Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the creativity, hard work, and generosity in marketing and communication. There were more than 6,000 entries in this year’s competition. About 18 percent of entrants were platinum winners; about 18 percent were gold winners; and 10 percent were awarded an honorable mention.
2012 National Health Information Award
The 2011 Recovery Month Campaign won a silver award for its “Total Health Information Program” in the health promotion/disease and injury prevention information class within the government division.
This awards program is the most comprehensive competition of its kind and is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials.
2012 Interactive Media Award
The Recovery Month website won a 2012 Interactive Media Award (IMA) under the category 'Government.’
With an overall score of 461 out of 500, the Recovery Month campaign was awarded the IMA’s Outstanding Achievement Award, which recognizes that the project met and surpassed the standards of excellence that comprise the web's most professional work. The judging consisted of various criteria, including design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content.
2012 Web Health Awards
The 2011 Recovery Month campaign was awarded a Silver Web Health Award for its 2011 Pledge4Recovery in the “Social Media: Facebook” category within the government division.

The Bronze Anvil Awards recognize superior public relations tactics — the individual items or components that contribute to the success of an overall program or campaign. This award is a proud accomplishment, as this year’s competition drew a total of 784 entries and only 56 organizations were selected as Bronze Anvil winners.
2012 Hermes Creative Awards
The 2011 Recovery Month campaign won a Platinum Hermes Award for their Public Relations campaign, a Gold Award for their Video/Television PSAs, and received an honorable mention for their Audio/Radio PSAs.

2011 MarCom Awards
The 2010 Recovery Month campaign won a 2011 Platinum MarCom Award in the Marketing/Promotion Campaign/Materials category.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. In the 2010 competition, there were approximately 5,000 entries from around the world and about 15 percent won a Platinum award, their most prestigious award.
2011 eHealthcare Leadership Award
The 2010 Recovery Month campaign was awarded the Distinction Award in the Best Health/Healthcare and Content category.
The eHealthcare Leadership Award program exclusively recognizes the very best Web sites of healthcare organizations (both large and small), online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, suppliers, and business improvement initiatives. These awards highlight the Internet's role in achieving an organization's business objectives and recognize the hard work that has gone into creating outstanding health Web sites.
2011 National Health Information Award
The 2010 Recovery Month campaign won a bronze National Health Information Award in the Government division of the Total Health Information Program category. Additionally, the 2010 Recovery Month PSAs won a merit award in the Government division of the Public Service Ad Category.
The Health Information Awards is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields.

The 2010 Recovery Month toolkit won a Bronze Anvil Award in the Publication – Single Issue Newsletters/Booklets/Calendar category.
The competition, hosted by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), annually recognizes outstanding public relations tactics — the individual items or components that contribute to the success of an overall program or campaign. For more than 40 years, the Bronze Anvil Awards have celebrated the “best of the best” in public relations tactics, reflecting their growing scope, creativity and importance in strategic public relations.

The 2010 Recovery Month Television PSAs won three Silver Omni awards in the Government, Commercial, and Public Service categories.
Highlighting the accomplishments of outstanding media productions, the Omni Awards recognize productions that engage, empower, and enlighten various audiences. Patterned after the Emmy Awards, the Omni Awards use a panel of three peer professionals from the media production industry who individually judge each entry based on a standard set of criteria for each media type, including creativity, graphics, audio, lighting and functionality.

The 2010 Recovery Month television and radio PSAs have won a 2011 Bronze Telly award. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. There were approximately 13,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents for the 2011 competition and only 18 to 25 percent of entrants receive a Bronze Telly.

The 2010 Recovery Month radio and television PSA campaigns both won Platinum MarCom awards. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were approximately 5,000 entries from around the world in the 2010 competition and about 15 percent won a Platinum award, their most prestigious award.
2010/2011 Mercury Awards

The 2010 Recovery Month “Join the Voices for Recovery: Now, More Than Ever!” campaign won a Bronze Mercury award. This year, there were over 760 entries from 21 countries. The Mercury Awards are internationally recognized as a measure of success, and a good predictor of future success.
2010 Ava Awards

The 2010 Recovery Month television and radio PSAs “Hard Work” and “Mother,” won a Platinum Ava Award. The international Ava Awards recognize outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting, and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. They are designed to pay tribute to the history of the audio-visual industry. In this year’s competition, there were more than 1,700 entries from around the world. The Platinum award is their highest ranked award and “is presented to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding submissions in the competition…. About 12 percent [of submitted entries] were Platinum Winners.”
2010 Web Health Awards

Recovery Month 2010 won a Merit Award in the website category from the Web Health Awards. Additionally, the Recovery Month events widget and e-newsletter were awarded a Silver Award and Merit Award, respectively, in the government division of the Web Health Awards. The events widget was one of only two online resources/tools that won a Silver Award.

The 2007 Recovery Month website received a Gold MarCom award for overall website design. The Gold award is presented to entries judged as having exceeded the high standards of the industry norm. There were over 5,000 entries from the United States and several other countries. The MarCom Creative Awards gives winners the opportunity to demonstrate the high regard in which their work is held within the creative industry.
2007 Hermes Creative Awards
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials, programs, and emerging technologies.
The Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, web and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
The 2006 CSAT PSAs "Labyrinth" and "New Morning" received two Hermes awards: a Platinum award for the TV PSAs and a Gold award for the Radio PSAs.
2007 Omni Awards
The Omni Awards recognize outstanding media productions that engage, empower, and enlighten target audiences. The award carries with it the distinction of being chosen by peers as an example of excellence. There are seven categories of production awards and a minimum of three judges score each entry.
The 2006 CSAT PSAs "Labyrinth" and "New Morning" received two Gold Omni awards: in the General Commercial category and in the General Government category.
2007 Pegasus Awards
The Pegasus Awards are in their fifth year of recognizing exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals. Individuals, companies, and organizations from all over the United States have been honored through this prestigious competition.
The Pegasus Award of Honor was granted to the Road to Recovery episode, "The Addiction Treatment Workforce: Where We Are, Why Were Here, and Where We Need to Be" in the Government Health and Wellness category. This Program examined what the addiction treatment field is doing to encourage more people to enter the field and help those already there preserve their passion. The program also explored how new research and innovations are shaping the workforce.
2006 GALAXY Awards
The GALAXY Awards symbolize the assembly of numerous disciplines that create marketing excellence. The Awards honor the professionals who contribute to the process of building image, creating profit, and making a difference in the market place.
The competition is sponsored by MerComm, Inc., founded in 1987 with the principal purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. The organization strives to establish and promote high standards of individual and collective achievement by way of recognizing the multi-disciplines involved in professional communications.
The 2006 CSAT Recovery Month campaign received a Gold GALAXY Award in the Public Relations: Awareness Campaign Multimedia category.
2006 Gold Aurora Award
The 2006 Road to Recovery program, "Addiction & Family: Healing & Recovery" received a Gold Award in the Social Issues/Report/Documentary category. The Aurora Awards is an independent film and video competition for commercials, cable programming, documentaries, industrial, instructional, and corporate videos.
2006 Silver Telly Award
The 2006 Road to Recovery program, "The Addiction Treatment Workforce: Where We Are, Why We're Here, and Where We Need to Be" received an award in the Health and Wellness category. We won the highest achievement of "Silver Telly" for our win! The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.

The 2006 Recovery Month website won a Bronze Omni Intermedia Award in the Government category. The Omni Intermedia Awards, owned and operated by Media Corp Inc., recognize outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten. As a nationally known award competition, we have developed our reputation by only awarding those people who exemplify the highest standards of quality.
2006 Aesculapius Award of Excellence
The 2006 Recovery Month website won the Aesculapius Award of Excellence. This award is given for excellence in communicating health information to the public.
2006 Silver Inkwell Award
The 2006 Recovery Month website received a 2006 Silver Inkwell Award of Merit in the category of government and military communications. The Silver Inkwell Award recognizes outstanding achievements in 85 categories, including print, electronic, visual, interactive and video communications, graphics design, writing, new technologies, radio, television and communications planning, and campaigns. Senior communicators and accredited communicators serve as judges for the award.
2006 Freddie Award
The 2005 Recovery Month public service announcements, "Treat Me" and "Artist," were recognized with the bronze 2006 MediMedia FREDDIE award in the public service announcements category. For the past 32 years, the FREDDIE awards have showcased brilliance in the health productions realm and have been a reflection of the advances in consumer and professional health education and technology programming.
APEX Award of Excellence
The 2006 Recovery Month website has won an Apex Award of Excellence. Apex is an annual competition for writers, editors, publications staff and business and nonprofit communicators, sponsored by the Editors of Writing That Works, a division of Communications Concepts, Inc. Apex awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
2006 NAGC Gold Screen Award of Excellence

The 2005 Recovery Month website has won a Gold Screen Award of Excellence in the Website 1 category from the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC). NAGC awards underscore the association's high standards of professionalism in public service. The Award of Excellence recognize government agencies or individuals for significant achievement in their field.
2006 Communicator Award of Distinction
The 2006 Recovery Month website won the Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards. The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and provides a benchmark for the industry. The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that exceed industry standards in design or communication skills.
2005 Mercury Gold Award
The 2005 Recovery Month public service announcement, "Treat Me," received a Gold Mercury Award on January 26, 2006 for outstanding achievement in communications in the government public service category. The Mercury Awards are given by MerComm, Inc. which was founded in 1987 with the purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. MerComm strives to establish and promote high standards of individual and collective achievement by recognizing the multi-disciplines involved in professional communications. Two Silver Omni Awards
"Treat Me," the 2005 Recovery Month television public service announcement was awarded two silver Omni Awards for demonstrating excellence in production in the categories of Public Service and Government. The Omni Intermedia Awards recognize the accomplishments of outstanding media productions in a variety of fields and are owned and operated by Media Corp Inc. Submissions are judged by a panel of professionals from highly respected companies and a board of advisors with expertise in that respective area evaluates each area of the competition. Only submissions exhibiting the highest level of production are recognized.
Two Bronze Omni Awards
Two 2005 Road to Recovery Program Series shows, "The Dangerous Frontiers of Substance Abuse: A Look at Alcohol and Drug Use Trends" and the "Treatment Approaches for Women" were awarded Omni Bronze Awards. The Omni Awards recognize the accomplishments of outstanding media production in a variety of fields. Each of these fields are converging into an interactive, multi-level production to create a high impact presentation. The Omni Award carries with it the distinction of being chosen by your peers as an example of excellence.
2005 Aesculapius Award of Excellence
Aesculapius Awards are named for the ancient Greek god of healing. These awards are intended to encourage excellence in health communications by challenging producers of health-related PSAs and WWW sites to meet Aesculapius Awards standards and to enter the annual Aesculapius Awards competition.
Marcom Gold Award
The Recovery Month website won a Marcom Gold award in the category of Electronic/Interactive Media. The mission of the MarCom Creative Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the creativity and hard work of marketing and communication professionals. The MarCom Creative Awards gives winners the opportunity to show that their work is highly regarded within the creative industry. Winning a MarCom Creative Award gives recognition to the creative talent, firms, departments and/or clients that collaborate on outstanding marketing and communications projects.
