Gaudenzia Erie is a proud member of the Erie Chapter of the National Recovery Month Celebration Committee. Each September our committee plans various recovery month events and makes them accessible to the community. Gaudenzia Erie’s Run Around Erie For
Recovery is the closing event of Erie County Recovery Month Celebrations; this event is a fundraiser to help people get treatment who do not have the finances to pay. This fundraiser is our pledge to our community that treatment is available and treatment
works. Run Around Erie For Recovery is Gaudenzia Erie’s only fundraising event. It helps us continue our mission of treating people at any level of care regardless of their ability to pay. The event proceeds go to the Patient Fund, and are used for the cost
of treatment, clothing, bus fare for job searches and school, recovery literature, and any other need a client may present with. Run Around Erie For Recovery publicly acknowledges that Gaudenzia Erie remains committed to removing stigma and removing barriers
to treatment, and we remain committed to the health of Erie’s citizens and to the community at large. This event historically boasts substantial media attention.
