The Celebrate Recovery Walk & Rally, a National Recovery Month event, commemorates the successes of those recovering from alcoholism and other addictions. This includes individuals in recovery, their family members and friends, addiction treatment professionals
and others in support of recovery. Walk and Rally held at the State Capitol, Lansing, MI with speakers, awards and music. KEY NOTE SPEAKER, Jeff Jay is a certified addictions professional, interventionist, educator & author. His work has appeared on CNN, the
Jane Pauley Show, PBS, Forbes Online & professional journals. Jeff is the coauthor of a best-selling book & he has a new book out. He is a former clinician with the Hazelden Foundation & Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center. His personal recovery from addiction
dates from October 4,1981. KEY NOTE SPEAKER, Michael Johnson a certified addiction counselor & social worker, attended Wayne State University where he received his degree in 1988. He captivates audiences as he thoroughly explains lifestyles & thinking patterns
of the criminal drug offender, & provides cognitive approaches to working with today’s addict.
