2012 HAWK WALK: First Steps For Recovery 5K Untimed Fun Run 3K Fun Walk Along the Monon Trail Broad Ripple Village Saturday, September 15th 9:00AM 6440 N. Westfield Blvd. Indianapolis, IN 46220 The 24 Group is a nonprofit group that educates the public
about the effects of substance abuse on families. Through its fundraising events like Hawk Walk, The 24 Group awards grants to Indiana organizations that facilitate recovery from the disease of addiction. Come join us for a day of fun with friends and good
exercise for a good cause. WHY HAWK WALK The 24 Group was named in memory of David Manlove, the son of two founding board members, who died at the age of 16 from the disease of addiction. After David’s death, the Manloves chose the symbol of a hawk to represent
their son. In Native American tradition, hawks are messengers that soar between heaven and earth. They help to open our eyes to a vision of a better and brighter future. The Hawk Walk: First Steps to Recovery is David’s message of hope for a brighter future
for those struggling with the disease of addiction.
