www.AddictionAndArt.Org is pleased to appear in a conference exhibition highlighting substance abuse, addiction and recovery. Substance abuse is currently our world’s biggest disease – responsible for cancers, strokes, accidents, suicides, murders and
violence. The purpose of this exhibit is to contribute to the concept that creativity and artistic expression can play a significant role, both in recovery and in raising awareness of the personal and community tolls caused by substance abuse and addiction.
Organizers of this event believe that artworks can give insights into the human experience of addiction, can spark dialogs, can teach and can change perceptions. Artists have been invited to submit original artworks on the theme of drug addiction and recovery.
IntNSA conference attendees will be invited to select their top selections of the art. Prize honors for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will have monetary awards. Artists accepted for the show will be asked to attend the reception to discuss their artwork with IntNSA attendees.
We think you are in for a real treat! The Johns Hopkins University Press will be on hand with Addiction and Art books for sale.
