Kickin' It For Recovery  (4221)

09/22/2012 11:00 AM - 09/22/2012 1:00 PM

Kickin It For Recovery (celebrating it's third year) is a fun event which brings together local high school students, law enforcement, and individuals and families in recovery. To start off the event, a kickball game is played between the students and
law enforcement officers. In addition to the exciting kickball game, lunch is provided as well as information on recovery, treatment and prevention resources. Each year someone from the recovery community speaks at this event, and shares their story of recovery.
Finally, our task force awards the "CCSAP Advocate of the Year" plaque to someone from the professional community for their dedication and commitment to substance abuse prevention, treatment, and/or recovery. Local businesses donate door prizes and kickball
team members receive t-shirts.
