La Red Health Center Health Fair The health fair will feature a variety of free health screenings for vision, cholesterol, skin cancer, bone density, depression, diabetes, body mass index, blood pressure, HIV, STD’s and offer referrals for prostate screenings
to male participants. Informational tables will feature prevention materials on asthma, childhood lead poisoning, nutrition, mental health, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. While at the event, children will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, including
a fun moon bounce, exercise activities and face painting. The health fair is designed to create awareness of the affordable, high quality, cost-effective health care LRHC provides to the medically vulnerable and underserved residents of Sussex County, Delaware.
In addition, attendees of the health fair will be encouraged to take simple steps for a longer, healthier, and happier life, including exercising, eating a nutritious diet, getting regular medical checkups and preventive screenings, avoiding risky behaviors,
such as smoking and paying attention to mental health.
