Miracle Not Magic  (4500)

09/27/2012 6:00 PM - 09/27/2012 8:00 PM

The Hopeful Way Foundation is an NGO in Ghana which assists in efforts to overcome addiction to alcohol and drugs. The organization has set up two Oxford Houses in Ghana. Our current focus is on a treatment and recovery center, called the House of St.
Francis, which opened its doors in August, 2012. We believe that the people of Ghana and America receive special gifts by carrying the messages of recovery. The House of St. Francis (HSF), located in Ashaiman, Ghana, is being established by the Hopeful Way
Foundation (HWF) and the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The goal is to establish HSF as a groundbreaking "center for recovery." It will house up to 40 residents and opened on August 1, 2012. By September 15, the House had seven men who were studying a systematic
approach to working the 12-steps of recovery. We expect that the HSF will establish and support 12-step groups and spawn additional Oxford Houses.
