Twelve Step Recovery Eucharist Service

09/16/2012 5:00 PM
This recovery- centered Eucharist is intended to be both a healing experience for those suffering from problems of addiction and a transformational experience for our church. The recovery centered Eucharist is grounded in welcoming, community building,
pastoral care and liturgics. The Twelve Step Eucharist is celebrated in the tradition of a Rite II Episcopal service centered around building an awareness of the integration between the Eucharist and Twelve Step spirituality. Rev. Sam Shoemaker, an Episcopal
priest, worked closely with Bill W. as he developed the twelve step basis of AA. Whether you are in recovery, have friends or family members in recovery or simply are curious about this type of liturgy, this service is open to everyone. Services are held the
third Sunday of the month.
