This national event being held in NYC presented by the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, addresses the link between women and mental wellness issues that drive the treatment and care for themselves and their families. As women throughout the world
constitute the vast majority of caretakers of first and last resort for chronically disabled family members, their role as caregivers and as patients require that they remain informed, educated and connected to mental health resources for the best possible
care and treatment. Their investment of time and attention to these issues is imperative to a healthy society. This Conference is designed to ensure the availability of current and accurate information —in a supportive and empowering environment. Recent statistics
from the U.S. Census and the National Institute of Mental Health show that 1-in-4 Americans experience a brain and behavior disorder each year. The social and economic impact to our communities is staggering and the personal devastation for families can be
overwhelming. Experts will be addressing the latest advances in research, treatment and care, and a will partake in a discussion on recovery and reintegration.
