On Friday, December 6, 2013, author and former addict, Nic Sheff and psychotherapist, Elizabeth Jorgensen, will speak at An Evening with Nic Sheff: The Truth About Stress, Alcohol & Drugs: How To Keep Young People in Your Life Safe. The program begins
at 7:00pm. Event is FREE. Space is LIMITED. RSVP to Sarah Stewart, MSW at sstewart@newportacademy.com. (See flyer below for more information.) The event is presented by Newport Academy with locations in Southern California and the recently opened Bethlehem,
Connecticut facility. Attendees will have time to ask questions of both Nic Sheff and Elizabeth Jorgensen. Refreshments will be available. Newport Academy is pleased to host this event that will serve as an incredible opportunity for the Fairfield community
to learn more about the epidemic of drug abuse among our kids, Jamison Monroe, Jr., CEO of Newport Academy. We invite parents, their children, as well as, local educators and professionals to the event to learn how to recognize the warning signs of anxiety
and depression and properly treat these behaviors before kids try to self-medicate their own behaviors.
