Face It TOGETHER® Sioux Falls’ signature public event, “March into the Light,” is an annual community event to galvanize supporters, raise funds and create awareness among the broader public.Developed around the awareness program concept of “from darkness
into light,” the event will celebrate recovery and highlight the need for the entire community to rally around this important cause. The March will begin in the pre-dawn darkness and end after sunrise.

Program Agenda: The March will kick-off with a short 10-15 minute program a little before sunrise to energize participants and highlight key awareness messages. This will include stories of addiction survival with additional speakers to include CEO’s of the Employer Initiative,
family members of those affected by addiction, first time Marchers, etc. At the conclusion of the short program, the crowd will be encouraged to lift green glow-sticks into the air to celebrate the journey out of darkness and begin the March. The March will
commence, with the sun rising while participants are en route. Coffee, water, hot cocoa and breakfast food will be available after the March. A professional photographer will be on hand to take action, group and/or individual shots. The Nick Rallis Band will
perform during and after the March. Other musicians will be scattered around the route as well, playing/singing to encourage participants.
