Indiana Suicide Prevention Summit  (6060)

The summit will provide mental health practitioners, clergy members and educators with an overview of the Indiana State Suicide Prevention Plan and resources they may implement in their centers of influence. Breakout sessions on suicide awareness, prevention,
intervention, post-vention and evaluation will be complimented by three keynote addresses, delivered by: T.H. Eric Bui, MD, PhD, Associate Director for Research at the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders of Massachusetts General Hospital; Instructor
in Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School Eric Hipple, a retired Detroit Lions quarterback who lost his son to suicide in 2000 and strives to prevent other families from experiencing the same loss Steven T. Russell, Ph.D., Interim Director at the Norton School
of the University of Arizona, Fitch Nesbitt Endowed Chair; Director, Frances McClelland Institute for Children, Youth and Families Prof. Matthias Beier of CTS will co-lead the closing session on developing effective action plans for suicide prevention in local
communities.
