MOAR Recovery Day Celebration  (5640)

September is National Recovery Month! It is a time to spread the message that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover! MOAR invites you to sponsor, plan, and/or participate in MOAR and Friends Recovery Month Events. Celebrate
The 2013 Theme: “Join The Voices for Recovery: Together on Pathways to Wellness” Recovery Month spreads the positive message that pathways to wellness are essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover!
Recovery Day opens with a celebratory march from Boston City Hall (Thank You Boston) to a State House Ceremony inspired by personal recovery stories, music, and supportive policymakers & follows with a MA Bureau of Substance Abuse Services sponsored highly
intriguing public policy forum.

With its instantly recognizable golden dome, the Charles Bulfinch-designed State House is centrally located in downtown Boston on Beacon Street at the top of Park Street. It is situated directly across the street from the Boston Common and is easily reached
by public transportation or those navigating the city streets on foot. The Ashburton Park entrance of Bowdoin Street is wheelchair accessible. Parking rates can be expensive downtown but for those driving into the city, relatively affordable rates can be found
at the underground Boston Common Garage (http://www.mccahome.com/bcg_rat.html). Its entrance is on Charles Street across from the Public Garden.
