King County is sponsoring a recovery and resiliency conference, "Celebrating Wellness - Step up and Speak Out for Recovery." There will be 42 presentations and two keynote speakers, regarding wellness, employment and skill building. The event will include
a screening of the film, "Anonymous People." A photo booth will be set up for people to take a photo with a statement about their own recovery. Artwork from the 2014 Poster Art contest will be on display. Persons in recovery who experience mental health and/or
substance use challenges, persons who work in the behavioral health community who participate in services as well as parents of children who are enrolled in services in King County are welcome to attend. Each attendee will be provided information that will
enhance their own strengths and resiliencies and create a wellness culture. The conference will include exhibitor tables and break-out sessions for participants.
