Ethics in an Online World Webinar  (7414)

04/17/2014 3:00 PM - 04/17/2014 4:00 PM

The advent and evolution of electronic and digital hardware towards computers, laptops and tablets, the creation of smart phones, the ability to see without being physically present, and the desire for instantaneous connection through social media has
created a paradigm shift that will dramatically influence all clinicians. Therapists and allied service providers will have to wrestle with (a) how they and their clients define treatment, (b) how to deliver services that are ethical and timely, and (c) how
to maintain professional versus personal boundaries. This free webinar will discuss e‐counseling, social media, and digital communication with clients in your addiction counseling practice, and highlight the areas of the NAADAC Ethics Code that relate to these
topics. Examples, scenarios and case-studies will be woven into this informative hour. Presented by Mita Johnson
