The ANONYMOUS PEOPLE is a feature documentary film about the over 23 million Americans living in long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction. Deeply entrenched social stigma have kept recovery voices silent and faces hidden for decades. The vacuum has been filled with sensational mass media depictions of people with addiction that perpetuate a lurid fascination with the dysfunctional side of what is a preventable and treatable health condition. A grass roots social justice movement is emerging. Courageous addiction recovery advocates have come out of the shadows and are organizing to end discrimination and move toward recovery-based solutions.
The moving story of The Anonymous People is told through the faces and voices of citizens, leaders, volunteers, corporate executives, public figures, and celebrities who are laying it all on the line to save the lives of others just like them. This passionate new public recovery movement aims to transform public opinion, engage communities and elected officials, and finally shift problematic policy toward lasting solutions.

Gary Dietrich, passed away on March 1, 2006 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Many of you had a chance to play with Gary over the years and probably realized what a unique individual he was. His passion for the game of golf and his zest for life left an impression on the people he met and played with.
To honor Gary and what he meant to Hawktree we are planning the 6th annual Gary H. Dietrich Golf Classic on Thursday September 12th, 2013 at Hawktree Golf Club.
The two things that are significant in the event are the “Do Over” format and ND Teen Challenge. Those of you who had an opportunity to play with Gary know that he was likely to throw down another ball after a poorly hit shot for a “Do Over”. The format we have put together will allow each player to “Do Over” a shot of their choice on each hole.
The proceeds from the event will benefit North Dakota Teen Challenge, a cause Gary was just beginning to be involved with when his illness struck. Teen Challenge helps people, young and old; who have found themselves addicted to drugs or alcohol and are seeking help. They are filling a growing need in the community and have one of the
