The Rally 4 Recovery is an annual festival organized by a coalition consisting of persons in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, their family members, friends and allies. It is a community building effort, seeking to strengthen the bonds among people in recovery, their family members, friends and allies and increase the number of supports available to them in the community. The Rally also serves to foster a culture of recovery in Rhode Island, supporting the belief that everyone has a right to, and is capable of, recovery of addiction to alcohol and other drugs.
The Rally’s goal is to reduce the negative perceptions associated with addiction recovery. Fundamental to shifting these negative perceptions is the development of recovery friendly communities in which persons wanting to maintain their recovery are provided with recovery supports. The road to recovery is historically filled with obstacles that hinder reintegration into society. We feel it is important that people who have chosen the recovery path are able to obtain housing, employment and other necessities without prejudice.
Our festival is family focused and child friendly.
