Ronald (RT) Tannebaum
I am Co Founder, CEO and President of In The Rooms an online social network for the Global
Recovery Community.
I have been in Recovery myself for over 27 continuous years and just celebrated my 22 wedding
anniversary to my wife Phyllis who just celebrated 25 years in Recovery. We have a 19 year old
daughter in college and a 17 year old son who is a senior in high school. Our children have never seen
my wife or myself pick up a drink or drug and have grown up within the recovery community their e
ntire lives.
In over 25 years as an entrepreneur, RT’s focus has been on sales, marketing, and promotions. RT created, owned, and operated The Sports Arena, Inc. a chain of retail stores in upscale regional malls, specializing in licensed sports products, sports memorabilia and collectibles including on-site personal appearances by major sports heros from the past and current stars of today. The Sports Arena held partnerships with the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, and the Florida Panthers and also promoted each teams annual FanFest. After the sale of the Sports Arena the business transcended into Extreme Promotions and Events, Inc. which eventually grew into South Florida's premier indoor promotor of Arts and Crafts and Sports Memorabilia and Collectible Shows and Home Shows in South Florida.
After this success while still operating Extreme Promotions and Events, RT took on the a new
challenge as General Manager and Director of Marketing and Sales initiatives for Candy King of
America growing sales from $1 million to $8 million annually until Co-Founding In The Rooms, http://www.intherooms.com in April of 2007. In The Rooms launched October 6, 2008. Since the launch of In The Rooms in October of 2008 we have become the largest and most trafficked Recovery site in the world with over 100,000 thousand members, in over 50 countries with 258,000 years of combined recovery.
