Kristen Johnston to Receive Voice of Recovery Award

Faces & Voices of Recovery and Caron Treatment Centers invite you to join us at an evening reception recognizing the outstanding contributions of Emmy Award-winning actress and best-selling author Kristen Johnston. She is an advocate on behalf of addicts and addiction recovery. She has had a long and celebrated career as an actress in television, film, and theater and currently stars in the TV Land hit The Exes. It was with her brilliant and New York Times bestseller, Guts: The Endless Follies and Tiny Triumphs of a Giant Disaster, that she bravely told the story of her own battles with addiction. She founded and is the executive director of SLAM (Sobriety, Learning And Motivation at, an organization devoted to building a recovery high school in New York City. She is also featured prominently in “The Anonymous People,” an unforgettable, powerful documentary about the state of recovery in America today.

We salute Kristen Johnston and the extraordinary contributions of the country's most influential recovery community leaders to the growing movement to promote the reality of recovery from addiction.
