Announcing the March Road to Recovery Program: Join the Voices for Recovery: It's Worth It

Premieres March 7—The National Recovery Month campaign offers help and hope not only for individuals receiving recovery services and those in recovery but also for families, loved ones, and friends. The benefits of treatment and recovery-oriented services and supports ripple out across entire communities throughout our Nation, proving there are effective treatments and that people do recover. As the Road to Recovery series kicks off its 12th season, this episode will highlight the many accomplishments of the 2011 Recovery Month campaign and look forward to a successful September 2012 Recovery Month.

New Deadline! Enter Your 2011 Recovery Month Event in the 2011 Community Event Award Program by March 30, 2012

Share the extraordinary work you performed on behalf of people in recovery and those who serve them and submit your Community Event Award application for your 2011 event to the Recovery Month Event Award Program. Award applications are due March 30, 2012.

Did You Know the Recovery Month Website has Content in Spanish?

Share Recovery Month with your Spanish-speaking friends, family, and colleagues. To view the Spanish content, simply go to the Recovery Month website and click on the "En Español" button in the top right corner. You will then be directed to a page where you can select a button that says "Switch to Spanish" or "Cambiar a Español." Once you click on the button, all the website content that is available in Spanish will appear in Spanish, including the navigation buttons. Some of the content that is available in Spanish includes the 2011 Toolkit, information about community events, and how to get involved.

Get Ideas and Inspiration for Planning Your 2012 Recovery Month Event

There are many types of events and ways to promote and publicize your event. Now is the time to start thinking and planning your event. Recovery Month has event planning information, fundraising tools and tips, and resources for promotional events and publicity. You can also order the Community Event public service announcement (PSA) and have a TV station add your event information in it for airing. Organizations also use the Recovery Month PSAs as a way to promote their event and to raise awareness about the benefits of recovery in their community. PSAs can be played year round. Start planning now!
