Surviving Our Loss and Continuing Everyday (SOLACE)

Surviving Our Loss and Continuing Everyday promotes public awareness about drug dependency and recovery and eliminates the discrimination surrounding the issue. It provides evidence-based prevention services for children and adolescents, and aids in the development of support groups for individuals and families who have lost a loved one to a drug related death or who have someone who struggles with chemical dependency.

The McShin Foundation

The McShin Foundation is Virginia's fastest-growing peer-to-peer recovery community organization. Founded in 2004, this is a nonprofit organization committed to serving individuals and families in their fight against substance use disorders.

The Miracle Group

This newly formed, non-profit recovery community organization consists of individuals and families in recovery from substance use disorders. Its mission is to connect people to a broad network of resources that support individuals and families throughout the recovery process.

Unity Hall, Inc

Unity Hall builds a strong peer-to-peer recovery support system and recovery community. The community is comprised of individuals and families healing and growing toward a new life free of substance use and dependency.


Vet2Vet uses veterans in recovery in a peer-counseling capacity to help other veterans. Vet2Vet is administered by veterans who themselves have been consumers of VA mental illness services.
